A Handy Gadget

This photo is of a very easily made little gadget which is very handy. When working on old engines, I often find I have to make up special pipe fittings by silver soldering together various bits and pieces. Holding these pieces in place with normal clamps can be a problem. This piece of sheet metal with its bent down ‘legs’ can be lowered onto the fittings; the ‘legs’ keep it stable and a small weight keeps things in place. It works very well and is well worth the couple of minutes it takes to make. *Nev. nevmorrisqld@gmail.com.
